# 1 - BEEF MAKLUBA BATENJEIN

Ingredients...

Eggplant/ Rice / Potatoe & Meat Upside Down Mold

Sauteing
---------------
First things to do are!
in a skillet add 2 to 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil, and lightly brown the garlic.
Then in the same pan, brown the potato strips and then the eggplant slices, last is the cellery and the carrots.
If more oil is necessary?
Add 1 tablespoon at a time. Always remember that these are not deep fried, they are like sauteed.
Place them on a paper towel to drain the excess.

INGREDIENTS..

1 large Eggplant / sliced
2 to 3 large Potaoes / sliced
Celery / as much as you like
Baby Carots
Fresh Dill
Garlic

MEAT
----------
1 pound ground Beef
1/2 to 1 small Onion / chopped
1/2 bunch Dill
1/4 c Pine Nuts / or more
2 tsp. Lebanese 7 Spice / or more
Salt and blk. pepper to taste

Now follow the pictures below.
The pictures will show you step-by-step what goes first and what position you should put your fried veggies. Make sure the bull you choose is oven proof and shatter-proof. Spray with baking spray thoroughly including the sides of your dish before you begin to design. And make sure the dish that you're using ,is large enough to completely fill it to the top.
Once it is completely decorated and filled with the potatoes made and the rice, spray the tub with cooking spray. Now cover with heavy foil tightly. Bake in preheated oven on 500 for about 15 to 20 minutes on the middle shelf of the oven. After the time has reached to bring it out of the oven, place it on a wire rack to cool it off for about 10 minutes before turning it upside down, on the serving tray.
If for any reason you see that it's stuck to the bottom do not panic. Just let it stay like that for 5 minutes and it will release itself.
